Oleta Ogle
OGLE Oleta Ogle was born July 10, 1918, in Tuttle, Oklahoma, to Martin Thomas Foster and Sophie Easter Clopton Foster. She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Newcastle in September 1932, and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1936.
On September 24, 1936, she married James Theodore Ogle in Chickasha, and they made their home in Oklahoma City and Newcastle; lived briefly in Washington state during World War II; and built their retirement home in Newcastle in the early 1960's.
Oleta retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 26 years service and enjoyed her retirement years with her husband until his death on September 13, 1981. She regularly attended and worked at Newcastle Senior Citizens where she enjoyed many good times, special friends, and her good friend and bud Velda Stanley.
Oleta is survived by her son, James F. Ogle and his wife Judy; her grandchildren, Gina Ogle Parker and James F. Ogle, Jr. and his wife Brenda; and is great-grandmother and ``Candy Grandma'' of James Kaleb Ogle, Kris Reeves, and Stacey Reeves, all of Newcastle. Other family members are her sister, Marilyn Foster Koonce and husband Guy, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Oleta will be missed by many, including her little friend, Greta. We do not grieve as those who have no hope, but look forward to our reunion at her new home with our Father in Heaven.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2000, at the Little Chapel of Roses in Oklahoma City. Rev. Bruce Christian will officiate with interment in the Resthaven Memory Gardens. Arrangements made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
