Oley &ldqou;OA” A Sinquefield
November 12, 1927 - April 23, 2014

Oley Asa Sinquefield (OA), Jr. 86, of Pascagoula, MS, went home to be with his Lord on April 23, 2014. He was born in Laurel, MS on November 12, 1927. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and an active member of First Baptist Church Pascagoula, for many years. He and his wife, Norma Jean Witchen Sinquefield of 64 years enjoyed life as private pilots flying cross-country. O.A. used his piloting skills in service with the Jackson County Civil Air Patrol for many years. He also loved bass fishing, hunting, and road trips with family and friends. He prided himself as a first-class automobile mechanic owning his own business for over 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oley A. Sinquefield Sr. and Vera Brogan Sinquefield, Pascagoula, his loving wife of 64 years Norma Jean Witchen Sinquefield, his son Ronald (Ronnie) Asa Sinquefield, Foley AL, sister Betty Hallberg, Vicksburg, MS .

Survived by daughter Brenda (Joe) Stout, Pascagoula, son David (Beth) Sinquefield, Murrayville, GA . Four grandchildren: Brian (Carla) Stout, Mobile, AL, Jennifer (Dr. Stephen Richard) Sumrall, Ocean Springs, MS, Alan Sinquefield, Murrayville, Ga, John Sinquefield, Murrayville, GA . Six great-grandchildren: Anna, Evie, Aiden, Ainsley, Cade, Maddie, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, 9am to 11am with services to follow at 11 am in the Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Ray Smith and Dr.Jay Cook .

Serving as pallbearers will be; Brian Stout, Dr Stephen Richard Sumrall, Alan Sinquefield, John Sinquefield, Walter Hallberg, Richard Sumrall. Honorary Pallbearers: Jimmy Ezell, Terry Walker, Jerry Walker, Leo Witchen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Pascagoula, in memory of OA.
