Oliver Albert Jones, Jr.
Oliver Albert Jones, Jr., 68, long time resident and business owner passed away February 11, 2012.
He was born April 9, 1943 in Port Gibson, MS, son of the late Oliver Jones, Sr. and Idell (Allen) Jones. Albert served in the Mississippi National Guard. In 1961 he enlisted in the US Air Force and was stationed at Davis Monthan AFB. The trade that he learned while in the service prepared him for a career in the heating and air conditioning business. He first worked at and later owned Russett Service. Albert was the Past President and an active member of the Southern Arizona Mechanical Contractors Association. He was a dedicated board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Tucson. As a member and volunteer of numerous wildlife organizations, he not only contributed his time but also supported these organizations financially.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Donna (Weber) Jones; he leaves his son, Michael (Angie) Jones and daughter, Jaclyn Jones. He was proud of his grandchildren, Dustin, Kyle, Dante, Caden, Carson, Austin, Justin, Cody and Amber and great grandson, Ryley. Also surviving are brothers, Bill (Joyce) Crum, David (Paula) Jones and sister, Mona Goff.
Predeceasing Albert were a son and daughter, Keith and Angie Jones and a sister, Ruth Moudy.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM, Monday, February 20, 2012 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY. Arrangements are by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that Memorial contribution be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Tucson, P. O. Box 40217, Tucson, AZ 85717 or the Safari Club International Foundation, 4800 W. Gates Pass Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85745 Miracle Mile.
