Oliver D. Cassels

ROSEFIELD -- Funeral services for Oliver D. Cassels, 61, of Rosefield were at 10:30 a.m. today in Rosefield Baptist Church with the Rev. Everett Mayor officiating.

Burial was in Rosefield Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Cassels died Sunday at his residence following a sudden illness.

He was the Rosefield postmaster.

Survivors include his widow, Cleora Cassels of Rosefield; three daughters, Mrs. Rex Tullos, Mrs. Cloise Randall, both of Rosefield and Mrs. Lyndell Kitterlin of Jena; two sons, DeWayne Cassels of Ferriday and Dennis Cassels of Rosefield; two brothers, the Rev. R. F. Cassels of Rosefield and Jonnie Cassels of Jonesville; one sister, Mrs. M. F. Currington of Rosefield; and eight grandchildren.

The body will remain at the church until time for services.
