OLIVER D. ‘O.D.’ WALKER
Oliver D. ‘O.D.’ Walker, 74, of Ocean Springs died Thursday, March 10, 1994, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Walker was a member of McLeod Lodge No. 424, F&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, charter member of the Joppa Temple and the Elks Lodge No. 2501. He was the past commander for two terms of the VFW Post No. 5699, Military Order of the Cooties, Pup Tent No. 15, DAV Chapter No. 17, IBEW No. 903, retired, and National L.S.M. Association. He was a veteran of the Navy and served during World War II. He was a Presbyterian.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lewis W. ‘Bubba’ Pittman; a great granddaughjter, Brittany Michelle Watts; and three brothers, Ray Walker, Vernon Walker and Calvin Walker.
Survivors include his wife, Vina Pittman Walker of Ocean Springs; three daughters, Olive Beaugez, Paullette Pittman and Harriett Pittman, all of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Winona Bryant and Doris Poulon, both of Gulfport; a brother, Preston L. Walker of Gulfport; nine grandchildren, Robin Beaugez, Connie Beaugez Lewis, Wendy Beaugez, Delisa Delancey McCollum, Trent Delancey, Paul Delancey, Malinda Beaugez, Bryan Ross, and Kimberly Saucier; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. A service will be Saturday at 10 am in the funeral home chapel, with burial in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Ocean Springs.
