Onus H. McMurray

WINNFIELD -- Onus H. McMurray, 84, of Sikes died Sunday morning in Veterans Administration Hospital in Alexandria after a short illness.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today in Sikes Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Dickins and the Rev. T. L. Rhymes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Verda McMurray of Sikes; one son, George McMurray of Houston; one daughter, Nelda Brister of Monroe; two sisters, Ruby Gibbs of Winnfield and Eva McMurray of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
