WOODVILLE -- Graveside services for Opal Joyce Hartman, 82, of Centreville, who died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery with Jay Rustin officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hartman was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Sumrall, the daughter of Clarence and Iris Whittington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hartman; her parents; and one brother, Charles Whittington.
Survivors include one daughter, Letitia O'Neal of Gulfport; two sons, Lewis Prine and wife, Ann, of Crystal Springs and Glen Prine and wife, Gayle, of Woodville; two stepdaughters, Corinne Tomes and husband, Dave, and Daris Brown and husband, Steve, all of Denver, Colo.; one stepson, Perry Hartman and wife, Rosemary, of Luguna Beach, Calif.; one sister, June McGraw of Woodville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of close friends from coast to coast.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
