Ophelia Moss Storey

WINNFIELD -- Services for Ophelia Moss Storey will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Old Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis, Natchitoches.

Mrs. Storey, 91, of Natchitoches died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital.

She was a native of Winnfield and a member of First Baptist Church. She was a charter member of Spicer-Wallace Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution and a member of Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manakin in the Colony of Virginia and Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century.

She was a graduate of Louisiana College and was a school teacher. In 1942 she founded Winn Insurance Agency and worked at Winnfield First Federal until her retirement in 1962.

Survivors include one son, Stuart Thompson Storey II of Natchez; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cas B. Moss, George Moss, Steve Bates, Rickie A. Williams, William Files and Henry C. Gahagan Jr.
