Ora Leland Gibson Mills

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a native of Harrisonburg, she died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at the age of 71.

A longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she enjoyed conducting the hymns at church and shared a lifelong love of music. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She had many talents and interests, including singing, sewing, gardening, traveling, reading and caring for her beloved cats. She had a strong belief in Jesus Christ and loved sharing the message of his Gospel.

Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, July 16, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Darrel L. Mills; eight children, Randy Mills of San Pedro, Calif., Stephen and wife Julee Mills of San Bernadino, Calif., Wana Lee Mills of Baton Rouge, John and wife Ivona Mills of American Samoa, Sarah Mills of Baton Rouge, Rebecca and John Blalock of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Darrel II and wife Karin Mills of Weimar, Germany, and Joseph Mills of Seattle; 14 grandchildren, Natahli, Ko'olina, Welina, Nohealani and Ailana Mills, Cheri and Cassandra Mills, Colin, Adam, Kara and Daniel Blalock and Adriana, David and Vanessa Mills; six sisters, Wana Ann Fort, Majorie Sharp, Jane Noonan, Polly Hamilton, Evelyn McDonald and Rose Elzey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, D.W. and Olive Izetta Gibson.
