Services for Mrs. Ora Emfinger Dupree, age 83, of Winnsboro, LA will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 25, 2004 at Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro, LA with Rev. Alan Miller and Rev. Bill Robertson officiating. Interment will be in New Winnsboro Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral in Winnsboro, LA.
Mrs. Ora Emfinger Dupree was born to the union of Jim and Myrtis Waller on October 19, 1920 in Zion Hill. Mrs. Dupree went to be with her Lord, Friday, January 23, 2004 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. Mrs. Ora was a charter member of the Temple Baptist Church. She was a former pharmacy salesperson for several Winnsboro pharmacist. Her past times included tending to her flower gardens and watching the annual arrival of the Martins. Mrs. Dupree was preceded in death by her husbands: Marcus Emfinger and Ellis Dupree and five brothers.
She is survived by three children: Myrtis DeWitt and husband Gene of Rayville, LA, Gene Emfinger and wife Nelda of Winnsboro, LA and Donnie Emfinger and wife Georgianna of Monroe, LA; one brother, A.J. Waller of Nederland, TX; five grandsons and ten great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: her grandsons, Dennis DeWitt, Danny DeWitt, Jason Emfinger, Damon Emfinger, Eric Emfinger and her nephew, William Waller.
Honorary pallbearers wil be: Mrs. Dupree's Sunday School Class at Temple Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM until service time.
