Ordez Huckaby

QUITMAN -- Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for Ordez Huckaby, 65, of Quitman in the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel at Jonesboro with the Rev. Paul Johnson and the Rev. Major Lewis officiating.

Mr. Huckaby died Monday morning of an apparent heart attack while deer hunting in Bienville Parish.

Burial will be in Fellowship Church Cemetery at Hodge.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Myrt Huckaby of Quitman; one son, Staff Sgt. James T. Huckaby of the Panama Canal Zone; two daughters, Mrs. Shelba Walsworth of Quitman and Mrs. Shirley Walker of Fayetteville, Ark.; four brothers, Cortez Huckaby and Crawford Huckaby, both of Hodge, Rawford Huckaby of Jo[n]esboro and Sammy Huckaby of Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Holloway of Cotton Valley, Mrs. Thelma Caar [sic Gaar] of Dodson, Mrs. Clara Rist of Sarepta and Mrs. Beadie Benson of Cotton Valley; and six grandchildren.

The body will be at the funeral home until time for services.
