Last Rites Held For Mrs. Parker At Friendship

Funeral services for Mrs. G. A. Parker, 67, of the Friendship community near Sikes, who died in a local hospital Tuesday, December 13, were held at the Friendship Baptist Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. J. A. Buckner of Crossett, Ark., officiated with the assistance of Rev. A. D. Murray of Sikes. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Acting as pallbearers were Ruel Emmons, Marvin Emmons, Grayson Emmons, Peyton Parker, Sharron Parker, and Alvis Parker.

Mrs. Parker was a lifelong resident of Friendship community and prior to her marriage was Miss Aregon [sic Oregon] Emmons. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, G. A. Parker; three sons, Lawrence and R. J. of Sikes and Lloyd of Jonesoboro; two daughters, Mrs. A. L. White and Mrs. T. W. Adams of Sikes; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
