Orville T. “Orv” Manley

“Orv” T. Manley, 78, of Upland, passed away April 20, 2005, at Claremont Manor Care Center.

Born January 28, 1927, in Warren, Ohio, Orv was a resident of Claremont for 33 years before moving to Upland 2 years ago. Orv was Vice President of Research and Development for Wynns International for 13 years, after retirement he and his wife Caryl started the Cordell-Manley Labs. Orv was a W.W.II US Navy Veteran, received his BS in chemistry from Case Western Reserve; and a member of Red Hill Country Club for 33 years.

Orv is survived by his wife Caryl S. Manley of Upland; daughter Loretta (Randy) Tucker of Mililani, Hawaii; two sons Mark (Janet) Manley of San Dimas, CA. and Scott Manley of Orangevale, CA. and one sister Carolyn Kelley of Florida; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Orv was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Orv loved golf, gardening and card games. He also enjoyed a good scotch and a fine cigar with friends of world wide acquaintance. He will remain fondly in our hearts and memories forever.

Funeral Services will be held at Todd Memorial Chapel, 325 N. Indian Hill, Claremont, CA on Monday, April 25, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, 410 S. Sycamore, Claremont.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 1950 Sawtelle Blv. # 328, Los Angeles, CA. 90025.
