Oscar Dillehay
Oscar Dillehay, 86, farmer and retired employee of Heil Quaker, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 2:30 P.M. at Pleasant Mount Cemetery with Rev. Frank Webb and Rev. Jack Taylor officiating.. The family will visit with friends Monday from 12:00 – 2:00 P. M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born April 6, 1928 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Carl W. Dillehay and Bonnie Rieves Dillehay. On September 5, 1947 he married the former Alma Jean Kerr who preceded him in death on August 5, 2014. He enjoyed raising livestock and hauling cattle. Mr. Dillehay was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors include his daughter, Carlene (Randy) Messick of Columbia; sons, David (Pam) Dillehay of Hendersonville, Jerry Dillehay of Columbia; sisters, Louella Miller, Elizabeth Hargrove, and Edith Haney, all of Columbia and Peggy (Bill) Brent of Culleoka; brother, Laddye (Judy) Dillehay of Eunice, Louisiana; grandchildren, Beth Perko (Scotty) Eastep, Richard (Tabby) Perko, Ashley Perko (Jeffrey) Whiteside, Brent (Christie) Dillehay, Scott (Kristie) Dillehay, Kelsey Dillehay, Carmen (Brent) Allred, Courtney (Jayson) Stacy, Angie (Jason) Cavanagh, Alex Messick; and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Clint Dillehay.
