`Dee' DePriest

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Eversole Mortuary for ``Dee'' DePriest, 59, of Ukiah, who died Sept. 10 in Richmond.

The Rev. Russell Gordon of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be Ukiah Cemetery.

DePriest, who was born March 13, 1926, in Pineville, La., came to California 45 years ago. He lived in the Ukiah area 25 years.

Highly decorated during World War II, De Priest served as an underwater demolitions expert with the United States Navy. The veteran was employed as a truck driver for Cagel Lumber Company.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha DePriest of Ukiah; three sons, Jerry DePriest of Modesto; Randy DePriest of Healdsburg and Tad DePriest of Ukiah; and three grandchildren.

His mother, Lucille DePriest of Fort Bragg, also survives, as do five of his siblings, Jewell, Jane and Shirley DePriest and Evelyn Carmichael of Fort Bragg, and Maxine Hennigan of Willits.

Pall bearers will be Jim Paoli, Frank Dutra, Larry Logan, Bob Grider, Larry Grissanti, Dick Hoenig and Bill Chadwick.
