O. D. MOORE dies at 60; rites Sunday

COLUMBIA -- Services for Oscar Dewey Moore, 60, will be held at Rocky Branch Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with a former pastor, Reverend Pitts, officiating and Rev. Paul D. Aultman assisting. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Improve.

Mr. Moore, a dairyman in the Improve Community and an active worker in the church, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday at his home following a lengthy illness.

Survivors are his wife, the former Ludie Kendrick; three sons, Floyd and Kenneth of Columbia and George of Hattiesburg; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Beets, Mrs. Idus Bauthman and Mrs. Roy Haddox, all of Columbia; one half-brother, Ollie Arrinder of Collins; four sisters, Mrs. Coy Speights and Mrs. Dick Arrinder of Collins, Mrs. Tommy Lang of Improve and Mrs. Melissa McDonald of Jackson; one half-sister, Mrs. Elmo Speights of New Orleans, and 15 grandchildren.
