Services for Mr. Otis Johnson ``Jerry'' Baldwin, Jr., 80, of Monroe, will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 21, 2005, at Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church, with Rev. Weldon Bares and Rev. Joe Solomon officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Baldwin, a member of Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church for over fifty years and Sunday School teacher, was born July 13, 1925, in Bossier City, LA, and died November 19, 2005, in Monroe, LA. He graduated from Columbia High School, Northeast Louisiana Jr. College and Louisiana Tech. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was present in the D-Day invasion. He taught Chemistry and Physics at Ouachita High School for twenty-one years and touched many lives. He was also employed by St. Francis Medical Center as a Medical Technician for thirty-eight years. He was dedicated to his family, especially his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Johnson Baldwin, Sr.; mother, Myrtle Duke and step-father, Earl Duke.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary Jo Boyt Baldwin; five children, Kathy Baldwin Letsinger and husband, Doug of Monroe, Phillip Baldwin and wife, Laura of West Monroe, John Baldwin and wife Stephanie of Plano, TX, Paul Baldwin and wife, Michelle of Walla-Walla, WA, and Jill Baldwin Mouk and husband, Jeff of Monroe; grandchildren, Dr. Darrin Letsinger, Ashley Letsinger Shultz, Brian Baldwin, Amy Baldwin, Mackenzie Baldwin, Mary-Brooks Baldwin, Emily Mouk, Jackson Baldwin, Luke Baldwin, Michael Baldwin, and Quinton Baldwin; great-grand child, Lauren Shultz; sisters, Corine Reaves and Earline LaFont; and brother, William F. Baldwin.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Darrin Letsinger, Brian Baldwin, Douglas Letsinger, Jeff Mouk, Douglas Bennett, and Donald Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be life-long friends, Joe Walthall, Bobby Nissen, and Larry Seidenspinner.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Sunday, November 20, 2005, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Memorials may be made to Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church building fund.
