Ottice D. Sanders

READHIMER -- Services for Ottice Lynette Dark Sanders will be at 2 p.m. today in Briarwood Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Briarwood Cemetery under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis, Natchitoches.

Mrs. Sanders, 90, of Readhimer died at 4:35 p.m. Friday, May 7, 1993, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital Long-Term Care Unit.

She has lived in Natchitoches Parish since 1936 and was a graduate of the Normal School. She was a first-grade teacher at Readhimer for more than 25 years. She also taught at Sikes, Atlanta, Simsboro and Calvin schools. She was a member of the LTA and Briarwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Benny Lynn Sanders of Readhimer and Danna Roy Sanders Sr. of Vicksburg, Miss.; one daughter, Mary Sanders Weaver of Covington; one brother, Lynwood Dark of Dodson; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Danna Sanders Jr., Jeffrey Lynn Sanders, Bill Weaver Jr., Billy Jordan, Timothy J. LaFleur and Terry J. LeBlanc.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of services today in the church.
