Otto Prigelmeier, 90, Moorhead, MN died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Otto Richard Prigelmeier was born April 4, 1926 at Casselton, ND to Andrew and Regina (Priewe) Prigelmeier. Otto grew up and attended school at Amenia, ND. He served in the US Army Air Force. While stationed in Texas, he met his yellow rose of Texas. Upon discharge, Otto returned home and married his yellow rose, Lillian DeMettrice Watson on December 5, 1949 in Leonard, ND. They settled in Fargo until 1974, when they moved to Moorhead. He established Otto's Welding and Machine Shop in 1968 which he owned and operated until his retirement at which time his sons and grandsons continued the family business.
Otto was a caring, loving and cherished his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and traveling along with woodworking and time at Lake Lida.
He is survived by five children, Vicki Moldenhauer, Kindred, ND, Rick (Deb), Dent, MN, Connie (Ron) Kram, Glyndon, MN, Randy (Cindy) and Donna Baker, both Fargo; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, DeMettrice; sister, Loretta Haak; brothers, Herbert and Richard; grandson, Damon Zueger; and niece, Bonnie Peterson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to First Baptist Church or Hospice of the RRV.
Visitation: Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.
Funeral: Tuesday at 11 AM at First Baptist Church, Fargo.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
