Pamelia “Pam” D. (Dailey) Nason
Pamelia “Pam” Dailey Nason, 81, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, November 12, 2016 in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family.Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EST Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Richie Ashburn officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Nason was born June 17, 1935 in Centreville, AL to the late O. P. Dailey and Marianna Shelby Dailey Owings Deason. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Parker Dailey.
Mrs. Nason was a graduate of Howard University, Auburn University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She retired from Muscogee County School District with over 30 years of service as a teacher at Columbus Junior High and Guidance Director for Kendrick High School. She was a member of the Columbus Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa and the Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Phenix City serving as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and WMU leader. Prior to that, she served as a summer missionary in New Mexico.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, George W. Nason of Phenix City, AL; three children, Beth Nason Quick (Jason) of Madison, AL, Ryan Shelby Nason (Mary) of Phenix City, AL, and Lauren Nason Driggers (Shaun) of Phenix City, AL; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, and Camden Quick; many nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends.
