Mrs. Panola Ruth Seaney, age 78, a resident of Lena passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Golden Living Care Center in Carthage. Visitation was held 5:30pm-8pm Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral service was held 11am Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Allen Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Jathan Price officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Seaney was born in Rankin County in 1935. She loved fishing, hunting and going to deer camp. Panola loved working in her garden. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester Harrell and Sadie Franklin Harrell; brother, Ferguson Harrell and 2 baby brothers.

She is survived by her spouse of 60 years, Alvin “Buck” Seaney of Lena; son, Alvin Seaney and wife, Sheila of Lena; daughter, Cindy Williams and husband, Bobby Joe of Lena; sister, Lena Brewer of Pearl; 6 grandchildren, Shownie Price (Jathan), Misty Pittman (Derrick), Sandi Seaney, Amanda Carter, Bobby Wayne Williams and Gage Seaney; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Brad Latham, Eric Newbury, Jeffery Craig, Brian Massey, Branden Jolly and Anthony Harkins.
