Patricia Ann “Pat” Welch
Patricia Ann “Pat” Welch was born June 19, 1935 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry “HI” Martin and Margaret (Osborn) Martin. She married Jack Palmer Welch on August 8, 1969 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Pat was a graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas, Tx. She attended Southern Methodist University and the University of Oklahoma. She was a self employed businesswoman, a bridge, bingo and bunco player and known as the “Three B Lady” Pat was a patron of the arts and shared her collection with the Cherokee Nation and Old Sallisaw High School. She was an avid supporter of the Bonneville and Clayton Houses in Ft. Smith, and was also very instrumental in the restoration of the Old Sallisaw High School until it was destroyed by arson. She also leaves behind her beloved Rufus and Mandy, some of us have furry children.
Mrs. Welch passed this life on August 8, 2009 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of 74 years, 1 month and 19 days.
