Patsy Ann Clark was born to C.W. Clark and Lucile Williams on June 20, 1936, in her family home on Hamilton Drive in Dallas, Texas. She attended school at T.G. Field school in Longview, Texas. She had two half brothers, two stepbrothers and two stepsisters.
Patsy Ann Clark met her husband of 40 years in Longview, Texas while working at The Ranch House, a club that was owned by her stepfather, Shelly McLemore. Patsy was married to Glenn H. Welch on August 28, 1954, in Longview. Patsy and her family decided to follow their dreams and moved to Ore City. On May 8, 1961, Glenn's Bait & Supplies on Hwy 155 North opened to the public. Mrs. Patsy Welch owned and operated Glenn's Bait and Supplies for 48 years and 4 months. Mrs. Welch had a BIG HEART, loving spirit, and could not say ``NO'' to anyone. She was a great dancer and loved fishing. She and her daughter enjoyed watching "Dancing With The Stars" together. She was also a Brownie Leader. Mrs. ``Pat'' as most people called her was a wonderful woman. Her days were spent at her bait shop with her daughter Glendia. There were few strangers to Mrs. Pat in Ore City. Anyone who stopped was greeted personally by the owner and could look forward to good conversation, local news, fishing tips, and pretty much anything else that was worth discussing. She kept an eye out for the local children.
Mrs. Welch is survived by one daughter, Glendia Hillin of Ore City; a grandson, Jeremy Hillin and wife Amy Hillin of Lavon, Texas; two beautiful great-granddaughters, Mycah Danielle and Ansley Hillin; brothers, Carter Clark, Roger Clark, Wayne Tiller; and sister, Marie Wallace.
