Paul Clifford Capps

Paul Clifford Capps, 80, of McGehee died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born October 10, 1924, in DeWitt to John and Bessie Gray Capps, he was a retired farmer and a member of McGehee First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Capps; three sons, Charles Capps of Grady, Larry Capps of Pasadena, TX, and Johnny Carter of Shreveport, LA; two daughters, Rose Montgomery of Cominto and Jamie Russell of St. Joseph, LA; one brother, Haskel Capps of Ralston; one sister, Rosa Lee Eikers of DeWitt; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Harry Capps; one daughter, Patricia Rice; two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 10, in the chapel of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village with Rev. Houston Austin and Rev. Tommy Cunningham officiating. Burial was at Jennie Cemetery. Grandsons serving as pallbearers were Billy Ray Montgomery, Rusty Russell, Chuck Capps, Greg Capps, Jay Lance Rice and Rob Kirst.
