Man Dies Shortly After His Father

COLFAX, La. -- Arrangements are incomplete for Paul Kenneth Jones, 48, former secretary to Rep. A. Leonard Allen, to be held in Washington, D.C.

Jones, a former resident of Montgomery and secretary with the House Veterans Affairs Committee, died Wednesday at 9 p.m. in a Miami, Fla. hospital within eight hours of the death of his father, W. H. Jones.

The elder Jones died at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. A. B. (Dorothy) Coleman, in Colfax at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Joint funeral services were held in the First Baptist church in Montgomery Thursday at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. S. J. Sylvest officiating.

Paul Jones is survived by his wife, Mrs. Yvonne Beauchart [sic Beuchert] Jones and a son, Charles Harvey Jones, of Silver City Md.; two brothers, Malcolm Jones of Shreveport, and Leeland Jones of Lake Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Lolley of Shreveport, and Mrs. Coleman; and one step-sister, Mrs. Lantria B. Hughes of Montgomery.
