Paul V. Gaar
(April 30, 1925 - January 21, 2006)

Paul Vayne Gaar, age 80, of Dodson, La., died Saturday, January 21, 2006, at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La.

He was the son of the late Sylvester Gaar and the late Ola (Crain) Gaar.

Mr. Gaar was an avid fisherman and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II

Mr. Gaar is survived by: three sons, Steven Gaar of Dodson, La., Paul Van Gaar of Dodson, La., [and] Ricky McDaniel of Ruston, La.; one daughter, Pam Snow of Lake Charles, La.; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2PM Monday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield with Rev. Bill Strawbridge and Bishop Loy Gaar officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery near Dodson.

Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Sunday from 5PM until 9PM and on Monday from 8AM until time of services.

Pallbearers will be: Jay Hinkley, Guy Gaar, John Coolman, Waymon Payne, Eugene Owens, and Don Gaar.
