Mrs. Thornton Dies; Rites Set

Mrs. Paula Seeman Thornton, 68, of Monroe, died in a local hospital Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mulhearn Chapel with the Rev. George Pomeroy, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

A native of New Orleans, Mrs. Thornton had resided in Monroe for the past eight years.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Paula Thornton of Monroe; three sons, Earl Thornton of Huttig, Ark.; Mahlon Thornton of Crossett, Ark., and Ernst Thornton of Bolton, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. J. Ehrlicher of New Orleans, Mrs. L. Muller of Moreno, and Mrs. Sam Dulaney of Sikes; a brother, Carl Seeman of New Orleans; and nine grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
