Pauline Ellen Carpenter
(February 7, 1922 - January 27, 2009)

Mrs. Pauline Ellen (Jones) Carpenter, age 86, of Dodson, La., passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La. She was a charter member of Welcome Home Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Walter M. Jones and the late Ellen (Bonnette) Jones. Mrs. Carpenter was also preceded in death by her husband, Alton Carpenter; five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her

One Son, Vernon Carpenter and wife Mary of Dodson, La.

Three grandchildren, Laura Baldridge, Christina Womack, and Adam Carpenter;

Four great-grandchildren, Dylan and Maggie Womack; Callie and Clayton Baldridge.

One Sister, Zelma Carpenter of Dodson, Louisiana.

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 29, 2009. Friends may also visit with the family at Welcome Home Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to service time Friday, January 30, 2009. Funeral services will be held at Welcome Home Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Friday, with Rev. Bill Moore and Bro. Kevin Womack officiating. Interment will be at Welcome Home Cemetery in Dodson, La.

Adam Carpenter, Dylan Womack, Donnie Maxey, Gary Carpenter, Joe Creel and Billy White will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Jordan, Roy Jordan, Kenneth Simmons, M.C. ``Buddy'' Helms, Ed Shelley and Harry Baldridge.
