Mrs. W. Pearce, Port Barre, Dies; Rites Thursday
PORT BARRE -- Mrs. William Robert Pearce, 79, of Port Barre, the former Pearl Bihm, died at 12:50 a.m. today at her home. She had been ill since September.
Mrs. Pearce was a native and lifelong resident of Port Barre.
Her body is at Lafond and Son Funeral Home in Opelousas. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Louisiana Methodist Memorial Church, Opelousas. The Rev. J. D. Strozier of Port Barre will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery at Washington.
Mrs. Pearce is survived by her husband; two sons, William of Hackberry and Walter of Port Sulphur; and one daughter, Miss Alice Pearce of Port Barre.
Also surviving are four brothers, Dennis, Theo and Hugh Bihm all of Port Barre, and Ralph Bihm of Orange, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Bihm of Port Barre, Mrs. Hilda Guidroz of Opelousas, Mrs. Eunice Lafield and Mrs. Annie Jackson, both of Innis; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
