PEARL LINGO
Pearl B. Lingo of Greenville died Tuesday at Greenville Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Smith and Rev. Robert Baldridge officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born in Dodson, La. on July 4, 1907, she was the daughter of Samuel Blake and Tudia Louisa Womack. She and Ernest Lingo were married in Greenville in 1923. Mrs. Lingo was a seamstress for Haggar's Slacks and also worked for A&P Grocery Store. She was a charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Ernestine Callaway of Greenville; two sisters, Rebecca Grimes of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Inez Owens of Stockton, Calif. two grandchildren, Charlotte Beavers and Lynda Kaye Brown; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 11, 1978; three brothers and seven sisters.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
