Mrs. Pearl R. Cody

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl R. Cody, 71, of Clarks were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Riser & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. K. D. Mills and Tom Parker officiating.

Burial followed in the Old Bethel Cemetery near Clarks.

Mrs. Cody died Friday at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Columbia after a long illness.

Survivors include one son, Mr. Melvin Cody of Alexandria; three daughters, Mrs. Jeff Caldwell and Miss Bobby Hathorne, both of West Monroe, and Mrs. Mildred Parker of Clarks; three sisters, Mrs. Laverne Henderson of Olla, Mrs. Katie Benson of Jena, and Mrs. Minnie Burnett of Joyce; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lacy Whittington, Richard Legg, Melvin Justice, Steve May, Wayne Stowe, Robert Clark, Dewayne Lowery and Larry Rider.

Honorary Pallbearers were W. R. Rankin, John Cummings, Ed Reeves, Ed McGuire, Kermit Thomas, Willard Johnson and Boyce Morrison.
