Pearlie Mae Jackson, 84, died August 30, 2004, at Summit Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. Visitation is 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial in Old Crystal Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson was a native of Gloster. She lived in Crystal Springs from 1942 until 2000. She moved to Walker, La. to live with her son in 2000. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Crystal Springs. She worked as a supervisor for Crystal Springs Shirt Factory for 20 years and later worked at Hamilton Bakery.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Cooper Jackson.

Survivors include: son, Eddie Jackson of Walker, La.; daughters, Jimmie Nell Brown of Hawthore [sic Hawthorne], Nev. and Corine Hoke of Richmond, Va.; brothers, Alton Morris of Natchez and B.J. Morris of Eugene, Ore.; sisters, Elaine Nugent and Analois [sic Anna Lois] Myers both of Little River, S.C., Thelma Sturgis of Monroe, La.; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
