Peerliss Lewis

DERIDDER - Services for Peerliss Lewis will be at 2 p.m. today in Beth-El Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Marcus Wade, Tommy McGee and George L. Glass Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder under direction of Hixson.

Lewis, 87, of DeRidder died Friday, March 24, 2000, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and a member of Beth-El Pentecostal Church. He was a truck farmer and cattle rancher for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice Midkiff Lewis of DeRidder; one son, Jimmie L. Lewis of DeRidder; two daughters, Faye Welborn of Atlanta and Judy Lewey of Fairfield, Ohio; two brothers, Fred Lewis of DeRidder and Guthra Lewis of Toledo Bend; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until noon today in the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until time of services in the church.
