HUMPHRIES, PETER G. -- “GRANDDADDY”

Died 5 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 1991, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 75, a native of Grayson and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Ethyl Corp. employee, with 35 years service, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 8 to 10 p.m. Monday, with masonic services at 7 p.m. Monday, and 1 p.m. to religious services at 3 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Ed Scott. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shasta H. and Steve Pritchard; two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law, Steve Pritchard Jr., Eric and Stormie Pritchard; a great-grandson, Peter Eric Pritchard Jr.; a sister, Oper H. Scott; and two brothers, Dan “Bubbie” and Bill Humphries. Preceded in death by wife, Gloria Hair Humphries.

Pallbearers will be Steve Pritchard, Steve Pritchard Jr., Eric Pritchard, Bob Pritchard, Mike Humphries and Charlie Sprouse. He was a graduate of LSU and a member of Istrouma Lodge No. 414, F&AM.
