FERRIDAY, La., Feb. 28. -- (Special) -- Peter M. Young, 77-year-old planter of Catahoula parish residing near Rhinehart died Saturday and funeral services were held Sunday at the Manifest Baptist church with the Rev. Thompson Doughty officiating. He had been a resident of the community in which he lived practically all of his life and was a member of the Baptist church at Manifest.

Interment took place in the Heard cemetery near Manifest. Besides his widow, he leaves two sons, Richard Young, Lake Charles, La. and Doc Young, Manifest; one daughter, Mrs. Elois Bass of Jonesville, and other relatives.

The funeral arrangements were in charge of Riser and Upshaw Funeral home of Jena.
