*Philip MCCARTY's 1910 census record shows that he married three times. His wife was listed as Sarah (age 20) in the 1850 census, as Chloe Ezna (age 28) in the 1860 census, as Rosana (age 32) in the 1870 census, and as Mary (age 48) in the 1880 census. In each of these census records, his wife was listed as having been born in Alabama. He married Mrs. Mary S. FOWLER on 15 OCT 1879 in McLennan Co., TX and he married Mrs. Mary E. HARDIE on 24 APR 1884 in Freestone Co., TX. The death certificate for Philip's daughter, Frances Virginia (“Fannie”) MCCARTY, lists her mother as Sarah JOHNSTON.
