PELAHATCHIE -- Phillip Boydston, 50, a customer service manager, died of heart failure Sunday at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Services are 11 a.m. today at Shiloh United Methodist Church with burial in Shiloh Cemetery. Ott & Lee Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mr. Boydston was a native of Leake County who had lived in the Shiloh community for 10 years. He was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church, where he was a former Sunday school teacher and former chairman of the administrative board. He also attended Antioch Baptist Church, where he was a member of Evangelistic Explosion. He was a former employee of Union Planters Bank and AmSouth Bank as a customer service manager.

Survivors include: wife, Janet; daughter, Michelle Carter of Pelahatchie; son, Jay Boydston of Pelahatchie; mother, Lucille Boydston of Carthage; and a grandchild.
