PIERCE BISHOP

BAY SPRINGS, Miss. -- Funeral services for Pierce Jefferson Bishop, 84, Rt. 2, Louin, will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with the Revs. L. R. Massey and Sam Jones officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside. Memory Chapel of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Bishop died Friday at Jasper General Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Smith County and was a retired farmer and member or Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Ida McNeil Bishop; three sons, P. J. Bishop Jr., William Buford Bishop, both of Laurel; James Curtis Bishop, Bay Springs; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six sisters: Mrs. Ophelia Newcomb, Mrs. J. C. Waites, both of Laurel; Mrs. Molissie Gooch, Sandersville; Mrs. Leroy Windham, Bay Springs; Miss Dicie Bishop and Miss Pinkie Bishop of Rt. 2, Louin; two brothers: Tom Bishop and Fred Bishop of Louin.

Masons will be pallbearers.
