Pinkney C. Whittington Dies at 83
Services for Pinkney Coxworth Whittington, 83, retired Liberty farmer who died Sunday at his home, were held at 2 p.m. today from Zion Hill Baptist Church.
The Franklin County native had lived in the Ford community all of his life.
The Rev. Mr. Porter officiated and friends of the family served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Jacobs Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Whittington; three sons, Marshall, Clinton, La., Ernest, Holden, La., and Julius Whittington, Tickfaw, La.; a daughter, Mrs. Trudie W. Deer, McComb; a brother, Conkling Whittington, Meadville; five sisters, Miss Tommie Whittington, Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Ada Parker, Meadville, Mrs. Hattie Stewart, Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Gladys Middleton, McComb and Mrs. Cebia Grisham, Illinois.
Hartman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
