P. K. EMMONS

Pleasant Hills, La., July 18 (Special). -- Funeral services for P. K. Emmons, 71, who died at his home in the Wallace community after a lingering illness, were held at the Wallace Baptist church Sunday. Interment was in the Wallace cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. McCullen, of Grand Cane, assisted by Rev. J. C. Price of Pleasant Hills.

Mr. Emmons was one of the first settlers of this community. He had lived here practically all his life.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters: Mrs. D. E. Gregory, Pleasant Hill; Mrs. G. L. Spinks, Colfax; Mrs. Bob Weed, Grand Bayou; and Mrs. Claude Powell, Wallace; three sons, L. K. Emmons, Pleasant Hill; Winnifred Emmons, Wallace, and Brad Emmons, Pelican, and 19 grandchildren.
