Preston Whittington

Mr. Preston ‘Earl’ Whittington -- A native of McComb, MS and a lifelong resident of the Mobile area died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in a local hospital. Mr. Whittington was a member of Life Church of Mobile. He was a retired Iron Worker with local Iron Workers Union #798.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Earl Whittington, Sr. and Dorothy Jones Whittington, and by two brothers, Benny Lamar Whittington and Tommy Lane Whittington.

He is survived by his wife, June Whittington, Satsuma, AL; two sons, Michael Alan (Pam) Whittington, Creola, AL and Ronald Scott (Cindy) Whittington, Satsuma, AL; two daughters, Cynthia Dismukes, Daphne, AL and Pamela Prine, Saraland, AL; one brother, Edward 'Ed' (Janie) Whittington, Semmes, AL; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Whittington, Wilmer, AL and Gussie Whittington, Semmes, AL; 8 grandchildren, Jonah and Jared Dismukes, Lucas Whittington, Laura Kay Whittington Cook, Caleb and Ethan Whittington, Brandy Whittington and Katie Odom; 4 great grandchildren, Anne Claire Dismukes, Allyson Dismukes, Alexis Rawls and Coleman Whittington.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
