Reburial Today For R. E. Cox, Jr.

COALGATE, June 16 -- (Special) -- Reburial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Coalgate cemetery for Sgt. R. E. Cox jr., who was killed Feb. 20, 1943 [sic 1944] over Germany.

The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military services.

Cox enlisted in the airforce here in October, 1942. He went overseas in December, 1943, and had been stationed in England. He had completed seven missions.

He was born in Coal county and had lived in the county all his life. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M college in 1941. He was 27 years old when he died.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Cox sr., Coalgate; two brothers, Bruce, Tulsa, and Eddie, Coalgate, and three sisters, Mrs. W. H. Jackman, Sapulka; Miss Ethel Cox, Coalgate, and Mrs. Sanford Sprague, near Parker.
