R. TALFOURD JONES SR.

R. Talfourd Jones Sr., 75, of 640 Bossier street, Natchitoches, La., died at 11 p.m. Friday, November 16, 1951. A 33-year resident of Natchitoches, Mr. Jones was a retired wholesale oil distributer, a member of the First Methodist Church of Natchitoches, and the Natchitoches Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maud Jones, one son, R. T. Jones Jr. of Harrisonburg, one daughter, Mrs. T. M. Oakes of Baton Rouge, one granddaughter, one brother, Frank Jones of Texarkana, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. John Brown of Shreveport.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 1951 in the First National Funeral Home Chapel in Natchitoches with Rev. B. A. Galloway, pastor, of the Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the American Cemetery, Natchitoches, under the direction of First National Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dr. John A. Jones, Clyde Jordon, Jack Boyoton, Lee Hicks, Coleman Martin, and Dudley Fulton. Honorary pallbearer[s] swlil [sic will] be members of the Tom Porter Sunday School class of the First Methodist Church.
