SHREVEPORT, LA -- Services for Mr. Ralph A. Crain will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Crawford Williams. Burial will follow in Zion Rest Cemetery in the Wallace Community.
Visitation will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. preceding the services at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home.
Mr. Crain went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2002, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Pleasant Hill, LA and was a resident of Shreveport, LA the majority of his life. He was a long time member of Ingleside Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army and was retired from Riley Beaird.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Cozette Crain; sister, Gladys Butler, and brothers, Robert Jackson ``Bill'' Crain and Wilmer Otis Crain, Sr.
Survivors are his sons, Steve Crain and wife, Jan Barry Crain and wife, Teresa; daughter, Dianne Hayes and husband, Wayne; sister, Aline Bars of Kingsville, TX; and brother, Marvin Crain of Palestine, TX Hazel Cudd; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a niece and nephews.
Mr. Crain so enjoyed his family and spending time with them. A special thank you to the staff at IHS Pierremont for their constant care, concern and support.
