BOSSIER CITY, LA - A celebration of the life of Ralph Edward McDaniel “Mac” will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Hill Crest Funeral Home, Haughton, LA followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Chapel. Officiating will be the Chaplain from Barksdale Air Force Base. Entombment will follow in the Hill Crest Memorial Mausoleum with full military honors. Immediately following the burial, a reception will take place in the Hill Crest Funeral Home for family and friends.
Mr. McDaniel was born July 16, 1936 in Livingston, KY to Charles and Theresa McDaniel and died February 14, 2010 after a lengthy illness. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1977 after 20 years of service and was a resident of Bossier City. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Theresa and his brothers, Charles Ray and Marvin Wayne.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 32 years, Pat McDaniel; step-daughter, Mary Ann Plumb of Arlington, VA; step-son, Bubba Solley of Shreveport, LA; granddaughter, Jessica Plumb of Arlington, VA; sister, Irene Gregory of Nicholasville, KY; cousins, Charles Preston and Joyce Steele of Nicholasville, KY; nephews, Lou Gregory of Lexington, KY and Marvin Gregory of Evansville, IN; as well as a large extended family and many friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers will be Odis McMellon, Paul Metts, James Layfield, Ricky Cole, Aubrey Greer, and Larry Felts.
