Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fort Bayou Baptist Church.
GAUTIER -- Retired Marine Corps Lt. Col. Ralph Walker, 69, died Friday, July 27, 2001, in Gautier.
Mr. Walker was born July 10, 1932, in Jackson County and was a longtime resident of Gautier. He was retired Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the North American Hunting and Fishing Club. He was a member of Fort Bayou Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Denise Havens Walker; a son, Ralph Vernon Walker III; his parents, Rev. Ralph Vernon Walker Sr. and Ernestine Noble Walker.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy Lemon of Gautier; three sisters, Jay Frances Jones of Pace, Fla., Silvia Ann Gottily of Cantonment, Fla., and Vivian Lee Dailey of Fairbanks, Alaska; three brothers, Kenneth Fredrick Walker of Vancleave, Richard Ernest Walker and John Stephen Walker, both of Gautier; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Pascagoula. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fort Bayou Baptist Church where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will be in Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
