Ransom Roberts

Funeral services for A. Ransom Roberts, 82, of Wisner were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Wisner with the Rev. Milton Williams officiating. Burial was in Oakley Cemetery at Wisner.

Mr. Roberts died in a Natchez, Miss. hospital Sunday afternoon after a brief illness.

He was a native of Catahoula Parish and had been a life-long resident of Wisner. He was a retired farmer and held membership in the Masons and the Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Harold D. Roberts of New Orleans, Aubrey R. Roberts of Winnsboro, Ray R. Roberts of Wisner and Henry H. Roberts of Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Clara B. Boles of Monterey; one sister, Mrs. Lula Jarrett of Gilbert; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
