Ray Roland Walker
Mr. Ray Roland Walker, age 61 of Dodson, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.
Mr. Walker is the son of the late Roy Roland Walker and Martha Lavera Temple Walker. Mr. Walker retired from Willammette Industries and was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church.
He is survived by: His Wife Sheila McElroy Walker;
Two Sons: Mike Walker and his wife Vanita of Dodson La. Bobby Yelverton and his wife Nadine of Verda La.;
One Daughter: Sarita Horne and husband Tracy of Atlanta LA.;
Three Grandchildren: Cara Walker, Lauren Walker, Thomas Horne;
One Brother: Jerry L. Walker of Warner Robins GA.;
One Sister: Ginger Sue Kelley of West Monroe La.;
One Uncle: Odell Temple;
One Aunt: Madge Doss.
Funeral Services will be at 1PM Saturday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Michael Green, Kenneth Tarver and Wallace Ingles officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery near Dodson under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Friends may visit in the funeral home Friday from 5PM until 9PM and on Saturday from 9AM until time of services.
Pallbearers will be: Mike Fitzgerald, Kirk Miles, Jimmy Thompson, Ricky Waller, Jimmy Delaughter, Clint Pepper, Scottie Williams, and Cody Lasyone.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Lynn Matthews, Jesse Dyson, Steve Sharp and Heath McElroy.
