Services for Rayford L. Freeman, 79, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Aug. 27, 1994, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Marshall officiating.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

He was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Franklin County, the son of Tyson Wilkerson and Dorothy Smith Freeman.

He was a retired employee of the Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company (now Fidelity Tire Manufacturing Co.). He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and the Harmony Masonic Lodge No. 1.

Survivors include his wife Catherine B. Freeman of Natchez; a son, Rayford Freeman Jr. (Patty) of Vidalia, La.; three daughter, Elaine Eubanks (Ed) of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Carol Smallwood (Lothian) of Selma, Ala., and Gail Anders (Jim) of Crosby, Ms., a brother, Joe Freeman of Natchez, Ms.; three sisters, Lucille Powell and Geneva May, both of Natchez, Ms., and Mildred Carlock of Vidalia, La.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and son-in-laws.
