Rebecca Kay Cooper Morgan

Rebecca Kay Morgan, 41, of Houston went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005.

She was a devoted wife and mother, loving sister, daughter and dear friend. She was an active member of University Baptist Church, including teaching Sunday school. She supported her children and community by serving in leadership roles in PTA, as den leader for her sons' Cub Scout pack, and enthusiastically participating in all of her sons' school, music and sporting activities. Rebecca was a caring and dedicated preschool teacher at Clear Lake Presbyterian. She was an avid runner, including competing in the 2005 Houston Marathon. She loved scrapbooking and traveling with her family. Most of all, Rebecca brought love and laughter to everyone around her.

Rebecca was born in Sweetwater on Sept. 20, 1964. She was raised in Roscoe, where she graduated from high school. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Texas Tech University, she was also a Certified Public Accountant.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Charles ``Chuck'' Neal Morgan; sons, Tyler Keith Morgan and Bryce Cooper Morgan; parents, Weldon and Reta Cooper; mother-in-law, Grace Morgan; sisters, Cynthia Duncan, Janice Harris and Debbie Downs; and many other family members and friends.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at University Baptist Church in Houston. She was buried at Forest Park East Cemetery.
